ALEJANDRO JOSE RANGEL is a director, composer and production designer based in Los Angeles, and has worked on narrative films, commercials, and music videos.

 

As a director, he is drawn to telling intimate and stylized humanist stories, with narratives driven by psychological drama, exploring themes like mental illness, religion, and the struggles of performance.

His work is heavily influenced by his background in music, and as a composer, he enjoys writing scores that range from minimalist neoclassical drama to synth-heavy ambient horror.​

He graduated from ArtCenter College of Design with an emphasis in Directing and Composing, with a minor in Business.

 

In addition, he is also an award-winning production designer and a piano teacher certified by the Music Teachers' Association of California.
